KEL Electrical Machines Limited (KELEML) was incorporated on January 19, 2011 as BHEL EML, as a Joint Venture between Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) and Government of Kerala, by acquiring the Kasaragod Unit of Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Company Ltd. Pursuant to NITI Aayog recommendations, the Company was taken over to the Govt of Kerala and the name is changed to KEL Electrical Machines Ltd. We are the only General Purpose Alternator manufacturer under Kerala State PSU.
